Your Questions Answered
Breathwork is a consciously guided breathing practice that engages your body, mind, and nervous system to relax and transform. At TranscendMental, our approach blends intentional breathing with immersive sound, supportive environments, and integration. Sessions are held in sensory-safe spaces with blackout blinds, memory-foam pads or floating hammocks, eye masks, and carefully curated music which is all designed so you can go deeper safely and return renewed and aligned.
Everyone’s experience is unique. It's common to feel tingling, temperature shifts, emotional release, or even a dreamlike state or altered state of consciousness which many describe as psychedelic especially during immersive soundscapes and connected breath. Some people go into a deep rest while others have a lot of movement, muscle spasms and tetany are common. Any of these sensations are normal signs your nervous system is resetting. We guide you gently through the process and allow space for integration, so you leave grounded, clear, and embodied.
Breathwork is generally safe for most people when facilitated properly in a supportive environment. However, certain conditions like cardiovascular issues, high blood pressure, recent surgery, respiratory illness, pregnancy, a history of seizures or aneurysms, as well as those diagnosed with Bipolar I or taking antipsychotic medication should consult a medical professional before attending. If you’re unsure, check with your doctor and let us know before booking. We can always tailor your experience or suggest a gentler session.
No experience is necessary. Just come curious and comfortable. We provide everything you’ll need, including eye masks, blankets, and supportive mattresses or hammocks. That said, you are welcome to bring your own pillow and blanket if you’d like an extra layer of comfort. It’s best to arrive hydrated, having eaten lightly, and a few minutes early so you can settle in. A journal is optional for reflecting afterward.
Group sessions offer shared energy, connection, and the support of a community container—perfect for evening or midday resets. Private Sessions, on the other hand, are entirely tailored to your goals: your pace, your intentions, and your music preferences. They provide a confidential space ideal for executives, deep healing, or anyone seeking focused, personalized transformation. Both paths are powerful; it depends on how you want to experience the work.
Many guests feel clarity, release, or renewal after their very first session. In fact, I personally had the most transformative experience of my life in my first breathwork class and I was a skeptic. That said, deeper shifts often begin showing after 4–6 sessions, and a rhythm of 8–10 can open profound transformation. Even attending weekly or biweekly can steadily build resilience, creativity, and lasting clarity. I personally do breathwork daily but major transformations is accomplished when 1-hour sessions are done at least once every three months.
